So, if I’m not mistaken here are some release dates: May 3 Sookie Stackhouse, Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris
May 10, The Penderwicks at Point Mouette by Jeanne Birdsall
July 5, Overbite, Meg Cabot
Overbite – ooh the first, called Insatiable was so good! such a surprise – was originally to be called Craving, apparently. Better name. Believably a little whimsical, but also wink-wink serious. Overbite – too funny-let’s-abandon-any-suspension-of-disbelief. Well, you need some suspension thereof to make even a semi-spoofy book like this good. So, stop the presses. Re-name: Craving. Yeah, sure.
Anyway, July 5!!!!
Okay, then there’s Sookie. Hopefully, better than the last which was more like a not unpleasant commercial for Sookiedom. Eric’s back,it seems. Huzzah!
Then, of course, on a far different note is the Penderwicks, the best books to come out for little girls (and boys, too) since Little Women. Well, all right. I don’t know that for sure, but they’re great exclamation exclamation I did say ‘little’ girls, didn’t I? Big ones, too. I mean, come on, don’t you want to take a vacation back to your best childhood days?? I hope you do. These can help:
The Penderwicks, A Summer Tale of Four Sisters, Two Rabbits, and a Very Interesting Boy.
The Penderwicks on Gardam Street.
